BLB ScriptTagger Settings

Settings Saved.

The plugin settings provided here offer a simple way to customize the BLB ScriptTagger Bible reference tagging script from the Blue Letter Bible. It automatically modifies your site to run the script each time a page loads. The BLB ScriptTagger identifies scripture references to Bible verses you post and turns the references into links to the verse on BlueLetterBible.org. Hovering over a link displays a tooltip containing the text of the reference. In doing so users don't need to leave the page on your site to view the verse. Clicking on embedded links from the tooltip opens the specified verse on the Blue Letter Bible's web site.

Alternate Translation: By default the tagger will utilize the default translation selected above. However, you can force an alternate translation with each specific Scripture reference by one of the following methods:
  1. Include the translation abbreviation after the Scripture reference, e.g., John 3:16 ESV.
  2. Wrap the reference with a special anchor tag <a rel="ESV">John 3:16</a>.
This option will determine whether you want the translation to be noted after the reference.
